... This time we have a pier to walk out on before a quick trip across the rocks. Unfortunately unable to clearly see below with small waves crashing around us I miss the rock and step right into a hole. Glad no one got that on camera!! While still slightly socked in the sun came out a little during our time diving at Dabaisha. If the sun came out in all it's glory this site would just pop. The plethora of coral is staggering with a mix ...

      Scooter trip

rented a scooter for $500 and drop up highway 11, switching to the quiet country road 23 to highway 9 and Fuli. Drove north to visit Sixty Stone Mountain, then a few km south to Loshan to see the waterfall and bubbling mud volcanos. The continued south on 9 to the Luye Plateau, then over to highway 197, then 45 to the Liji badlands. 195km for the day!

      Very Underrated Town

A travel blog entry by adamphillipsuk on Aug 21, 2014

I basically stayed in Taitung as a base for planning my trip to Green Island. In my Lonely Planet is said that Taitung was not worth visiting because it was too congested and over polluted. It's also quit hard to get to from Kenting as you have to take a bus to Fengang, wait for about two hours and then transfer from there over the mountains to Taitung.

So after my long bus journey I really wasn't looking forward to getting to Taitung. However, when I got there ...
