    We had an early start and headed straight out to ‘The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium’. There were areas that were actually very comprehensive and interesting. The most notable being the 3 beluga whales in a huge enclosure, garden eels, sea cucumbers and puffins - all of which I’d never seen before.

    Tiny volcanic island, used as a prison for political dissidents from 1950s to 1970s. Today it's all tourism. Coral reefs, tropical water, varieties of fish. We snorkeled, which consisted of lying face down for an hour, breathing through a tube, watching hundreds of bright tropical fish swim beneath us. Lovely. Low season, so no crowds.
