Made it to Mexico

... In Belize the conversion rate was just double the US$ so food oj menus was normally around 16/20 belizean dollars but in Mexico the peso is 13 pesos to the dollar so when we saw something for 120 pesos we were a tad shocked. That actually works our about $8 so it seems like loads but it's really not. Got our last full day together as a group tomorrow. We're going to some ruins in the morning and then what's meant to the best beach around so looking forward to that. The journey awaits ...

... getting rough, our tiny ship was tossed, etc and the visibility was limited, too bad because I had heard some great things about diving off Cozumel. A good time was still had by all.

My final day of diving was in the Cenotes of the Yucatan peninsula, these are limestone caves and wholes that run along most of the coast line and all link together. This means they have mixture of fresh and sea water which causes a halocline, I’ll get to this later. ...

... dive was a lot less scary than I had expected it to be, and extremely peaceful. Most of the fish were sleeping under the protection of corals. Unfortunately we didn't see too much, but we did get to see a few octopi, eel, and at the very end, as I was ascending, someone had spotted a HUGE crab.
