... free wireless Internet access for all of their guests. So, as a result of our newly acquired ability to connect to the world for free, Jenn, Jess, and I spent the better part of yesterday catching up on local news, celebrity gossip, and social networking websites.
Today, our bus tour took us all over the city, originating from Placa de Catalunya, a ...
... Much of the decor was in the art nouveau style. We were then escorted to this very elegant salon for champagne before dinner to wait for everyone to arrive. A man and a woman serenaded us during that time. After everyone finally made it, we went into the long dining room. The dinner was good. One of the guests, who happened to be seated at our table, was talked into giving us a show. She sang two American Broadway songs, quite well I might add. It was fun and added to ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kitkatgo... it was worth it cos 'he was a good kisser... ' ok then Ash, whatever! So we got a taxi around 6am. Ash said I was totally out of it and judging by the copious amounts of pictures I took - I definitely was! She said I was lying on the floor for the most part of the trip. Classy. After falling out of bed numerous times, getting crumbs EVERYWHERE in the bed and raiding the minibar, i finally passed out close to seven - and i wasn't even in the bed properly. Man I am such a catch. Xx
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kbcon2... you where something is. I find it too crowded for my taste though and prefer strolling along the much more ample Passeig de Gracia. In fact, my favorite place in the city is probably the big square at the intersection of La Gran Via and Passeig de Gracia. When I´m out at night and I pass that square, it gives me so much "animo", spirit or energy. I like how art fits purposefully into the city and how it is valued. Many avantguard artists came from this area ...
Barcelona, Spain anonimous_lady... a bit early in order to make the long drive down to Barcelona. A long drive indeed! (7 hours!) One strange thing about the freeways in Spain are that the tolls are quite frequent. In our trip to Barcelona from St. Sebastian, we must have pass through about 7 tolls. I would suggest training it next time. While the drive is quite beautiful, going through the countryside, it's really not worth the drive, given the excessive cost and the comparatively more interesting ...
Barcelona, Spain youngandhip... adventure. It took me almost 24 hours to get here from Amiens. I had to take a train to Paris, Metro to the Austerlitz station, wait 4 hours for the sleeper to Port Bou (the Barcelona direct was sold out), and then wait another two hours to catch the two hour connecting train to Barcelona. I left Amiens at 4:25PM and didnt get to Barcelona until around 2pm the next day. Still, Im very glad to be here. Barcelona is a very welcoming city and I have some very fond memories of ...
