... and set off back to the catamaran. So seeing Sandy Island again made me wonder whatever happened to the parrot. Now here’s something for the art aficionado’s. There is a very famous artist called Escher. He did drawing of the most impossible things, very much like Heath Robinson. Well, Escher did a drawing of a waterfall running down several flights of stairs, and would you believe it.... ending up at the original height again. A brilliant optical illusion. Well, ...

    ... exploring some more.
I checked out the various SCUBA shops and none I went to in the morning had afternoon dives. The ones I checked out in the afternoon (too late to make it on the afternoon dives) didn't have night dives that night for just one person, but they had them other nights and available for groups. We discovered a lovely hideaway hotel in the French village ...

No bball at La Savane due to rain, so I put on my church clothes (hoping my nice flip flops would be acceptable becaues the only other shoes I had were New Balance, Nike, or Puma) and went Mary Star of the Sea, a two minute walk away. The service was just like any other Catholic service except that the priest spoke in English and then in French, not sentence by sentence, but more like gospel by gospel or prayer by prayer. The church walls were lined with the scenes ...

    Day 20

When I got to practice, Nikaidi was at the court, but not practicing. I asked Robenson why and he replied “red flag” with big eyes. I went over to talk to Nikaidi, who was hanging out with some other girls, talking, laughing. I asked her why she wasn’t practicing and she said her belly hurt because of the time of the month. Her belly hurt, but it sure seemed like she was having a grand old time with her friends…hmmm. I told her that where ...
