    ... did it stop... No.

Event two. The inevitable tug of war. So calling for the first teams, ordered another round of beers for everyone which they had to be finished before the event could begin. It all helps to assist them in the event you know. Numbers seem to be irrelevant. Eight on one side, six on the other. More men on one side, more women on the other. It just made no difference. And they were off and pulling like mad. Hope you like the videos.

It was an exciting day for me! After 20 years of world travel, I just encountered a completely new kind of shower fixture here on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands – one that requires three hands to regulate to the desired pressure and temperature. The return bus journey was in a full bus (unlike the empty one taken there), among its passengers probably a couple of yachters from the marina going to buy supplies. There were not other tourists and I suspect I was the only one from the ship to take a local bus. It cost me all of $2 in each direction. Did the obligatory souvenir shopping in Philipsburg market where I dropped off. Walking to the sea front, I appreciated Marigot ...

No bball at La Savane due to rain, so I put on my church clothes (hoping my nice flip flops would be acceptable becaues the only other shoes I had were New Balance, Nike, or Puma) and went Mary Star of the Sea, a two minute walk away. The service was just like any other Catholic service except that the priest spoke in English and then in French, not sentence by sentence, but more like gospel by gospel or prayer by prayer. The church walls were lined with the scenes ...

    Day 20

When I got to practice, Nikaidi was at the court, but not practicing. I asked Robenson why and he replied “red flag” with big eyes. I went over to talk to Nikaidi, who was hanging out with some other girls, talking, laughing. I asked her why she wasn’t practicing and she said her belly hurt because of the time of the month. Her belly hurt, but it sure seemed like she was having a grand old time with her friends…hmmm. I told her that where ...
