    Going East on the 401!

    ... a lot of construction. After we got through that, we encountered a very busy farmer's market and some other festival. We decided it best to head for the exit and Highway 401. As we approached the 401 . . . the Est (east) entrance was closed--CONSTRUCTION! . . . and no info on a detour. But, eventually we figured it out!

    Carol didn't think much of my flirtation with history!! That lost us about 45 minutes ...

    I watched the gently failing light from my single seat. I recognized the rise and fall of the hills across the St. Lawrence as we entered Quebec. It was very beautiful to see the sunset across the water. I couldn't read the stops we made along the way because my eyes were fighting the twilight lighting, as all non nocturnal beings ...

    ... ride not to much hills. Not a lot off wind either, which kept the speed up. On time in the b&b to see the second half of the quarter final of Brazil and Colombia.b&b is nice Victorian style.     Hi, The first stage is done! 150km went OK the last part was a bit difficult. Had a little trouble finding my couch surfer, but all is good. Nice guy, and eating a lot right now.     ... who was living in Montreal. We didn't drive far down the road to Lake Bouchard where we had a really nice dinner by the lake. We watched a Loon and a beaver swimming around the lake through the binoculars. We had to drive out of the park to get some wifi and luckily not too far up the road there was McDonalds.
