... We found a great info centre and were directed to some local campgrounds. After being sadly turned away from the first one because they didn't have any toilet facilities, we found a nice little spot where they kept a bathroom open for us. I guess most people carry their bathroom facilities with them here and many places are closing up for the season. Surrounded by fields of corn, ( no Gary, not the fields of Bali) we toasted the end to another great day. Life is ...

A short visit because of weather

      ... five or six already.

Our plan was to visit the oldest forge in Canada but when we got there it was closed for the season. Because it was raining we did visit one more Notre Dame Cathedral and then did a driving tour of the city. No pictures were taken today because of the poor weather conditions. It was fun reading the large info board on the pier to learn about this area, especially since the last time I ...

      ... and heavy traffic!

We just did road side rests for snacking. It rained from Noon on. We did try to stop by Kingston, Ontario--a very historic town, having been the center for the military through the War of 1812 . . . until Toronto developed. We are planning on skipping Toronto on the way back (change of plans . . . we'd be coming trough on a Friday . . . just like the mess we were in on the way out), so ...

      By Sunset

I watched the gently failing light from my single seat. I recognized the rise and fall of the hills across the St. Lawrence as we entered Quebec. It was very beautiful to see the sunset across the water. I couldn't read the stops we made along the way because my eyes were fighting the twilight lighting, as all non nocturnal beings ...
