... and it was lovely. It wasn't as close to the water as the first one but still had a beautiful view. We settled in quickly and then headed to the shop. We've worked out that but moving here now and by getting the bus it's actually cheaper and gives us about 7,000 spending money which we didn't have before so we can afford to eat and get Matty a few beers. Anyway as a now seasoned backpacker I worked round this expensive food situation by only eating as a treat ( The meka fish was fresh and the Chicken Chow Mein was good also) and visiting the supermarket to buy noodles and snack foods to eat on other nights. We were fascinated by the fish in big ponds directly outside the restaurant. Huge species some black with blue lips, then blue and yellow ones.
I could have stayed watching them for ages.

Ibn the background of this idyllic spot we saw the place where Gaugin used to paint, and his old house.

... A bit more sun baking and then time for a cocktail or two! So I think we had a good day, we went back to the ship and showered and changed to go out again as we weren't due to sail to Moorea until 4.0am next morning as Moorea is only about 40 Kim's away. We decided to eat off the ship for a change, as it starts to get dark lots of vendors set up their food vans in the area next to where the ship is docked, they cook ...
