... I drank excellent wine and beer. I reminisced over fond memories and then created new ones.

Thank you Corsica for the lovely weekend.

Today we hit the Corsican coast. It was absolutely beautiful. However the wind was just nippy enough to prevent us from frolicking in the water. But that didn't stop Nico from playing in the sand and Aunt Josie from taking a wine-induced nap on the beach. ... Back to the hotel and car, we head off to explore the coast further along to a large-ish town - Calvi. The coastal tourism is quite different here to what we experienced in Sardinia and at Bonifacio. There are large wide beaches here, no small coves and so, no mega-big yachts and motor cruisers. There is quite a bit of foreshore camping, the first we have seen and the camping grounds are quite respectable. We noticed in Italy ...

... what the words are - English and Italian have a lot similarities. There was something on the menu today that I had no idea about - the word "lupe" included. I know this to mean wolf, so got up a translator on the iPad and discovered that the dish was stuffed wolf. Seriously, thats clearly not right, but what could it be??? I feel damned lucky that I just ended up with mussels and octopus. From town, off to find our hotel. Roger has researched and booked this one, and he tells me he ...
