Stamford, Connecticut, United States pamericas... on 34th Street and stopped to take some pictures. Then it was on to lunch at Le Maris, a (kosher) French steakhouse near Times Square. I ordered their steak, "frites" (fries) and salad special, which was delicious. Then I splurged on dessert (see the pic!), which tastes better than it looks! After that filling (and expensive) lunch, I walked off the dessert all the way ...

We left the hotel around 5:30pm to head uptown to the square, at which time it was already 29 degrees F. we Subway'd most of the way, we got off at 42nd street which is where the actual Times Square junction is, only to be told the entrace was at 57th street! So we walked all that way which was good as it was a way to keep warm. We got there and we ...
New York City, New York, United States danfaSaturday morning, we woke up at 7:30am, showered, got dressed, then headed across the street to grab a bagel (and coffee for me!) before taking the 456 train to Grand Central where we caught the 7 train to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens. The train ride was a piece of cake! We met several other folks heading out for a day of tennis viewing. Once we got to Queens, it was a ...
New York City, New York, United States fitmomWe had a relaxed start to the day and met up with a friend/colleague of Bill's for brunch at a lovely local cafe - Cafe Mozart. We dined on NY bagels and a variety of fillings - delicious but such a huge serving! There was much catching up and sharing of news and the time passed easily. Later in the morning we headed for Central Park and walked across to the Metropolitan Museum. The last time H was in NY (1992) it was winter and the trees were bare. Central Park is so green and ...
New York City, New York, United States wdhm058... if we don't want to miss our connection in LA. So I change our tickets to 6 AM, but in order to not pay the $300 for changing them, I have to wait until midnight (yes, 6 hours before the flight!) to do the confirmed standby, which is only $25. So already we are off to a great start on the whole Lack Of Sleep. Also, I know my sister will wait until the last minute to pack, and then she'll be a ...
New York City, New York, United States bigbonna... which offers great views of the Statue of Liberty. No stops though except for Staten Island. We finished the afternoon with a bus trip to Harlem, a short visit to the MET & a little touristy shopping on the way to the station! We wished we had more time around Harlem as it looked lively & the architecture was historic.

Stamford, Connecticut, United States johnsinclairStamford, CT Day One Another week, another conference. I think we should have a bus and roadies and groupies for these events. We just take the show on the road. 4 conferences in 3 months, we take off for the holidays and then we start again in January for a couple more. It is actually not very difficult after I prepare for the first one. I have to create the presentations once and then just repeat them for the rest of locations. We have to go to San Diego, Dallas, Greensboro and ...
