... any problems, just a couple of places were very sloppy where we slipped a little. We had to pull up on a steep bit, which wasn't ideal. There was a Range Rover one side of the road and a Mini Cooper the other side, both with front end damage, ouch! At the top 7500 ft we pulled in to a parking place, whilst Les de-iced the window wipers I walked Logan. It was bitterly cold, at the side of the car park the snow was about five feet deep. ...

  • The museum was really cool. A lot more fun than Motat back home, only you had to fight all the little kids to get a turn, and then you had to fight all the old men who would also come along and hog the exhibits.
  • Afterwards I caught the bus back to the train station, grabbed my backpack which was still there (small sigh ...

... what I suspected is true: a village had to be flooded when the dam was built, and this church tower is all that is left to the eye from this now underwater town. It seems both sad and poetic... The sun is setting as I reach my third village of Curon Venosta. Here I give into temptation, and opt for a warm bed again instead of camping out. It does seem to be a lot colder on this side of the mountain for some reason. And so ends a beautiful ...
