... some beautiful sights. The Cathedral was absolutely magnificent- inside as well. We had an amazing lunch at the most gorgeous restaurant! I had a mushroom and red wine risotto and Lee had creamed squash Ravioli- it was divine. Then of course followed by gelato- mixed flavours, so perfect!!! ... we got there, Roberto told us about the tower up the top which was used to communicate to people in the other nearby mountains hundreds of years ago. Totally confusing town. Lots of signs heading into town. lots of exit roads on both sides of the river, but no bloody sign. As soon as I got to the centre of town the signs would disappear.

... a wide, flat valley begins, with villages dotting the surrounding slopes. Once again, I choose the direct route along the river, bypassing most of them.
