Daytrip to Shidu
... was the view of the bungee jumpers. We had plenty of opportunities to fully analyze each jump to see whether it was natural for a jumper for recoil in such a violent fashion. We concluded that the harnesses were not wrapped around ones ankles but rather ones legs would be slightly separated during the jump which seemed awkward for many of us.
After our lunch, we explored around the small town which had appeared to be built for tourists. Many of the shops and ...
The Factory Visit
As I mentioned in the last post, we had arranged to go and see the factory where the parts of the pagoda were manufactured. The boss would be there at nine to take us for a visit. We had contacted Jenny and asked her if she would come along and translate for us and she had agreed to do so. Bungee jumping is something that I've wanted to do before and that I would NEVER do in China just on my own, but since we were with a travel group who runs this trip often I felt okay about their endorsement.
We got in line for the gondola to the cliff, ...
