... awake but we did manage to make it there on time. Our bus ride was about 3 and 1/2 hours, during which the tour guide tried to distract us with teaching us this pen game. ... 80 km north of Beijing. We are stopping en-route at one of the tombs of the Ming Emperors, the largest, the Chang Tomb. There are a total of 13 tombs situated all within a 10 - 15 mile radius. All stand out on the landscape with gloriously coloured pagoda structures. ... had a private dining room with like 4 waitresses just for us and a girl even came in and played harp during our meal, totally wild. The hot pot was good, lots of different meat, I think it was beef and tofu...which I found out later was actually blood tofu, kind of gross, but whatever, it was pretty good. ... it was so overcrowded, people with standing tickets all try and board the train quickly so that they have a good spot, which totally blocks the aisles for everyone else getting on the train.
