A rather slow start, but a very good sleep, saw us out the house by 11. We headed back into Central, where we stumbled upon a Pret A Manger...would have been rude to have breakfast anywhere else! The it was a walk up to the Hong Kong Zoo and Botanical Gardens, both free activities. It turns out HK is extremely hilly as soon as you leave the waterfront area... I wouldn't go so far as to call it a zoo, either. More of an avary and primate ...

... A local told us that Victoria harbour is rapidly diminishing as they reclaim more and more land. Construction sites are everywhere. We have been seeing as much as we can between tropical downpours. Our hotel is central, modern with good service and clean but......it definitely reflects the value of space here. It is minuscule. I have stayed in very small rooms before but compared to this one they were palatial. We actually have to step ...

Hit the Club Lounge for afternoon tea and then back to our room for a rest. Cocktail hour in the Club Lounge starts at 6 so you know where we will soon be. Thinking we will stay in tonight and get some ...

... and it's amazing. Go super local eating style, and shovel rice from bowl into mouth with chopsticks at close range. Also allegedly I have invented a new way of eating by wedging a load of rice into my duck pancakes. Waitresses are highly amused. "PeKam duck?", "Duck Camcakes?". I refuse to believe it's not been done before China it had to be said all in all, is a little bit more alien a than most places I've been. Pretty cool though See it properly ...

... aimlessly passed the shops. Suddenly we were accosted by an interesting looking character. He wore worker cargo pants and a smart white shirt' he held a brief case with a funny looking mobile phone attached to his belt. He spoke to us in near perfect English which seemed a bit strange considering our surroundings. After a two minute conversation he pointed us in the direction of the metro, he told us to head for a station called Buji. We would find the East ...
