... we tasted yak butter tea, barley cakes, and barley beer. The cake and the beer were tasty, but the tea was sort of salty and greasy and is really an acquired taste. Finally, we again tried to to visit the local street. It was still very crowded, and after a brief walk we decided to sit on the curb and watch the crowd. ... on protective gear and wait in line for our turn. The "baby" panda was brought out, he was less than two years old but once he was put on my lap you can see from the pictures how big he was, although he wasn’t heavy at all. Thankfully Fran took some great pictures of us on their camera which we will treasure forever. It was certainly a unique experience that we will never forget.
