He told me they do have a similar experience but it requires a donation to the well-being of the pandas and assist with the research to help them out of the endangered list. I told him the panda experience was very important to me so he showed me where to go for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

... were joining in a mass dance and they all knew the dance moves! It was really brilliant to see and I wish we had the same kind of thing at home! Imagine nipping to your local park and everyone doing the Macarena!!

We walked around the park a little as well and noticed something very strange! There were about 100+ pieces of paper stuck on sticks in the ground on one particular path in the park! We obviously couldn't read them ...

We could not get an early enough start to get to Leshan in southern Sichuan to avoid the crowds. The Traffic Inn's handy location adjacent to the Xinnanmen Bus Station made it easy for us to get to Leshan City in 2 hours, but we still had to take the city bus that slowly crawled through Leshan City (interestingly full of brand name shops - Gucci, Prada, you name it) before it crossed the Min river to the Giant Buddha site. ... so excited that someone was interested in her life, so she gladly told me how to cook and prepare many different dishes. Then we got to eat them! That was another bonus, as before then I hadn’t had any home cooked meals in China. It was interesting to see how the food differed from restaurants and what Chinese people ate at home. ... thing we found was a great set of streets filled with xiaochi stands, trinket stores, and even an amusement area where we shot bows and arrows. We collectively won a tiny stuffed panda which Ben told me to take as a gift for Shanpeng. The panda spent the whole day peeking its head out of my hoodie pocket.
