Woke up at 6:30 anxious about the flight tonight. We went for a walk down the shopping bit of Xian and then went up onto the wall. Cost £10. We were planning the cycle round the city wall but forgot our bank cards to get some money out for the deposit. So we just walked... And walked and walked!! Haha. The new pine scent of the bunk beds wafted across our noses as we steeled ourselves ...

... saw that Chengdu was a lovely city. Very clean, spacious and well laid out. Our day continued to get better as we stopped at a ticket office just down from our hostel and managed to get the last two seats on a train for the next leg of our journey. This was a slow train which is going to be 19 hours long on hard seats in a packed carriage but hey, beggars canīt be choosers and at ...
