... to turn and, sure enough, someone had hurled an inflatable sailor off the poop deck (or whatever they call it these days). The boat heeled as it turned and as all the passengers rushed to the side to get the best view we were suddenly in danger of turning a drill into the real thing. ... chicken salad in peace. Once again the ferry trip was very smooth and the 90 minutes passed very quickly. The bus trip back to downtown Vancouver seemed to take a long time. Rather than staying on the bus till it dropped us at our hotel, we got off 8 blocks away and walked back. We figured it would be quicker that way.
Tea was provided by the hotel and we again had the Shepherds pie - no dessert this time!!
Then it was off to bed!!
... studying in Arizona. Went out that night to the Beaver at Samesun then found ourselves at a country/cowboy bar in Gastown- was very funny, danced like country idiots haha. Also met Josh and Marcus (NZ) at Samesun. 23rd Nov Pretty knackered and hungover, but spent the day at Bowen Island-took the ferry over seeing some gorgeous landscape. ... who I have missed these last few years!! My itinerary is a bit crazy (in my usual fashion!!):
I'll be in Bristol 25-28OCT, then London 29OCT-01NOV, before going to Brighton until 06NOV, then I'm off to Jerez de la Frontera and Seville (in Spain) until 14NOV, back to Brighton until 18NOV, then up to Edinburgh until 21NOV, over to Glasgow until 29NOV, down to Weybridge until 01DEC and then back to London until 04DEC
when I fly to Brisbane!!
... the display regarding the Race to the End of the Earth (South Pole) between Norwegian and British Explorers. The two teams were led by 1) Norwegians - Roald Amundsen and 2) British - Robert Scott. The display was very interesting and there were lots of plaques to read and many pictures to look at.
