We Caught Our First Fish!!
... parenthesis. At the same time in PEI, our loving and patient family drew another large parenthesis on the beach in Victoria, PEI. So, for a short while, until the tide came in, we had all of Canada cradled within parentheses!! As we continue to discover, and most of you know, we live in a big, beautiful and wondrous country called Canada. This is not the end, nor the beginning of the end,
... the sun shinning and am I ever going t get used to cars driving on the wrong side of the road????? Apparently Australian tourists get cleaned up all the time because they look right when the leave the footpath.....it is OK though because just as man Americans get cleaned up looking left when they leave the sidewalk in Australia..... I am about to give up completely...Ok I have only been trying for two days..which is not really much of an effort...but I am going to have to get used ...

... were strangers to me. The other two were a little less nervous but you could still notice. I persisted until they started opening up a little and soon they were chatting to me quite happily (not the one who moved away) to the point where they even missed their stop and had to get off at the one after and walk back. Hopefully I have encouraged them to take a few more risks!

Das ist aber wohl einfach so... was soll's.
Auf jeden Fall sind die Leute hier im Durchschnitt wirklich viel angenehmer als im Durchschnitt in Deutschland. (Euch zähle ich da natürlich alle nicht mit rein!!! Ihr liegt weit über dem Durchschnitt :o))) Also ich meine mit "angenehmer" einfach viel offener, freundlicher, unvoreingenommen, tolerant... ...

... wollte. Zu schade, dass der Hausherr sein Haus nie zu gesicht bekommen hat, weil er vorher verstorben ist. Es gibt viele Räume und auch viele Räume für die Angestellten und alle sind entsprechend ausgestattet.
Um es kontrastreich zu halten, laufe ich danach ans gefühlte andere Ende der Stadt, zur Fishermen's Wharf. Dort liegt eine ganze Gemeinschaft an Hausbooten im Wasser. Die Hausboote sind teilweise zweistöckig und haben genug Platz für eine nette Terrasse. ...
