... Jonty got an Austin Powers costume. Me and Rob went to a few more shops after to get some much needed warm stuff, hats, gloves etc.

That evening we got dressed up in our Halloween costumes, I also made a cigarette holder to go with my character's costume. The party was in a condo in the centre of the city, we didn't know anyone except Jonty. We really enjoyed the party though and everyone of his colleagues were so friendly and welcoming. ...

... had decided that it was perfectly safe for two middle-aged white people to walk from this area along 57th back to MSI near the Lake.

We got a couple photos of the old apartment building and headed east on 57th Street back towards the lake. Probably a 10 or 15 minute walk. My wife was still very edgy after what the driver had said, and was keen to leave the area as quickly as possible. I attempted to calm her down ...

First Day in Chicago

... are going to get deep dish in Chicago, it is recommended to call ahead and order it, as it can take upwards to 30-45 minutes. We got lucky and pre-ordered while we were waiting and didn't wait too much longer. Seemed very authenticate and really cheesy and saucy.

Took a cab back to Navy pier and enjoyed the Chicago skyline at night. Walked the pier and finally headed back to our hotel.

... Phoenix at 1:30 pm mountain time and arrived at O'Hare International at 6:30 pm. I was back in my car just after 7 and arrived home in Ottawa just before 9 pm.
