On Long Island Beach, there is one main North-South road. In the height of "season" the traffic is very heavy from early in the day 'til late. It wasn't bad today. All the stores are having end of season sales.
We move down to Maryland tomorrow. See you there!!
And the adventure continues,
Atlantic City with Susy and family. Left early and drive 2 hours. Had lunch at a burger place while the family had Panda Express. Lay by the beach for a while. Had a quick swim. Played kick the ball with the kids. Walked along the boardwalk. Had funnel cake. Waaay too sugary! Had pizza slice and chicken parma with pasta and salad and baked potatoes. Drove back around 8. Had ice cream sandwich on the way ...
... from Starbucks. They can't make good coffee here. Finished off the day with some street food for dinner, eaten in bed :-)
One thing I have really noticed is that everyone is really helpful and polite. Sorry folks at home, but Aussies could really learn some manners from our American neighbours.
Anyway I'm knackered from walking all day, so checking out!

In true road trip style, we made a 5 and a half hour trip take about 12 hours...of course we had to go through as many states as possible! Had a brief stop over in Annapolis, MD to stretch our legs. It's quite a pretty town.
