... out to the gardens of the palace. We began walking with hordes of other people but when we saw them all going in one direction, we headed in another. This was a great decision as we were able to have a piece of the incredible large gardens to ourselves. ... of land under cultivation is much greater than we thought. Corn, sunflowers and vineyards seen to be the staples and the amount of terracing up the valley walls has to be seen to be believed. They are using every inch of land - but we did not see any cattle whatsoever on the land.
