Railay- progression, redemption & phallocentri

... behaved Year 11 boys happened to be walking past. It was at that point- shouting mildly obscene body parts in front of an adolescent boy - that I decided I was badly in need of some farang rehabilitation. I take the first bus after work on Friday with a plan to go to Railay. Getting onto the back of a songthaew in Krabi, I have a wonderful flash of why I came to Thailand. Driving alongside the shore, the evening sky is lilac and hazily bright, gently blanketing the limestone ...

Trips, huts & boats!

... raining nearly all day but the views out to the sea were really pretty. We were shown to our jungle hut which was very nice but we both decided that it wouldn't be a very good night sleep in there (5.30am start)! The first night we met up ...

... size of my calf and drinking the freshest banana Daiquiri's I've had in my whole life (sorry thighs)!
Need less to say, the plan worked, and one very stoned evening with Jason, Mr Rastafari (I won't use his real name) approached me on his own accord, which was unusual for him as he is notoriously hard to befriend, and offered me a job and we had a smoke together. Again, I will never forget this moment. I felt like a I had just been knighted by Bob Marley!
