... soft shell crab for the first time....very nice.

Checked out the popular Ark Bar a few doors up from our hotel, during the day it plays chilled out tunes which changes about 3pm to more of your duf duf music. Also stumbled across the night markets on Saturday night which was cool, they have all these food stalls cooking on their little bbqs and it smells so good, loved these little honey pork skewers for 10thb and also had ...

I had a beef and chicken screwer and some salad! :) Today and tomorrow is Thai New Year and they celebrate by having a huge water fight in the middle of the street so tonight we walked down, got absolutely drenched as everybody has water guns and buckets etc... The restaurant next door was playing Love Actually and The Notebook, two of my all time faves but I couldn't quite face it alone. Back at my room I slept with my bag packed and flip flops on incase I needed to make a speedy getaway. Best valentines ever. (Please don't tell Andree about this escapade because she will literally fly out to Malaysia and beat me) Joanne's valentines: Well the day ...

... decided to go down to Arkbar to see if there is any availability for us to have Christmas dinner there tomorrow. With tables soon booking up, there were a few free for the 3pm slot. Clearly being such a big day, it came with a price but we all went ahead with it to get everyone together, so all 11 of us can make the most of the day. Every Christmas Eve I have done the same old routine, go out with friends during the day, have an early night at home. Which involves plenty ...
