... excitement and ambiance, this restaurant combines entertainment with culinary delight.
"Built right out over the water, which sparkles in the moonlight and under the stars, this two-tiered restaurant features dramatic red columns and balconies and a covered area under a blue pagoda roof. Tantalize your taste buds with delectable stir fried fare, prepared with flames flying and much fanfare, right before your ...
... I wouldn't mind a little icing on the cake, too, after pretty boring food for two months. The boredom diet works, and the travel diet too. I'm down to 173 pounds from probably 183 a half year ago. That's fighting weight, lean and mean and polished to a high sheen... Blood pressure's good, too. So it costs me $70-80 for the office visit and a week's worth of penicillin from a clinic called, I **** you not, 'Doctor's Office'. What the Hell; this ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... s almost like home. I can make a drip coffee maker out of anything, but Styrofoam cups are the preferred raw material. So life takes on a certain regularity, taking a walk on the beach or a swim, walking into town for provisions, but mostly sitting right here in my room with my Internet and Cable TV and MySpace and Sype, doing business and talking to my wife and writing and reading and... just living, almost like the real thing. The big ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... up' (I like that name) in the Halal eat**ies (huh?) that consists of black-eyed peas in goopy rice, not to be confused with sticky or glutinous rice, a diff**ent breed entirely. Growing up in the Deep South I nev** knew I was part of the Caribbean culture; now I know. Being a major tourist resort Barbados may indeed have the best food of the lot, and the local stuff doesn't look bad, but the prices and the fact that I had a kitchen ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... get her story, but didn't want to offend her sensibilities or violate any religious taboos. I wouldn't want to change any of the local customs, no. You've got to be sensitive. The Interzone bozos almost got to me the first day with all their little dog-and-pony shows and psychological manips to get me into their shops and their houses and their pants to spend all my money before it's all gone, stash for cash. They can sense fresh meat like a ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... arranged a private van with driver and guide for a negotiated per person amount. Just before returning to the ship, the guide told us that we had misunderstood the agreement and the actual charge was three times the negotiated amount. Rather than fight, we agreed to pay twice the original cost. Jamaica is a dirty, squalid place, obviously with ripoff artists. Don't waste your time visiting. We did not see a single area here we would feel comfortable wandering around on our own.
Montego Bay, Jamaica k6eidWe survived our first trip with kids out of the country and the flight was as bad as I thought it would be. Cameron (4 yrs) could not keep still and was constantly kicking the chair in front of him, forcing the passenger in front us to change seats so as not to turn around and strangle him. Katie (Ms. Princess) slept most of the way and woke up in time to realize that we left her favorite doll, then it was hell to ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica iriegirl... and ordered meself a margharita.....nice...now it felt like I was in Jamaica....we were messing around at the pool when Karen dropped her sunnies and the rest of the story is off limits....(suffice it to say that there was someone who had to go to the restroom....and the rest of the people nearby the pool were laughing with us....) It was pretty funny.....alright I was already *****....10 rounds of JD and margharita.....thats enough to send me to a laughing frenzy ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica longieSorry for the dreadful pun incorporated into the title of this section, but a trip to the Caribbean in January 2006 replaced the regular annual January ski fixture, and was yet another encounter with the American tourist, which was to be the last, for absolutely no reason other than ongoing commitments and diminished practicalities. I arrived on the island of Jamaica in poor shape due to a newly-broken collar bone, which I was ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica jollyjetsetterFirst of all, everyone should check out the new photos that I put up on WebShots (http://community.webshots.com /user/murraycarlson). Second, I think that I really seriously hurt myself this weekend. I dove off a 10ft. cliff in Negril and my back hurt the second I hit the water. Jess thinks I hyper-extended it, but I haven't been to the doctor. I wouldn't mind so much, except the Falmouth Volleyball Tournament is on Saturday, and I was really looking forward to playing.
