... You can eat and sleep on board. Whilst heading to the Choo Choo we saw a local brew pub so we stopped by and had a local brew and pizza for lunch. It had great atmosphere and was orginally an old warehouse that had been redesigned. It made us a little homesick but last night we stopped by a World Foods Maket that we happened to see as we drove by and they had Mint Slice biscuits, Tim Tams, Crunchies and Turkish Delight. All of which we now ...
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States bekandjesseWe have arrived in Chattanooga and found ourselves a bargain basement priced little wooden cabin to keep us out of the rain and in the warmth, yay! This is just a short entry. This week we will be staying here in Chattanooga checking out the surrounds and making a few day trips to neighbouring states.

We will keep you updated. Lots of Love, the warm, Bek and Jesse Train
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States bekandjesse... There must have been issues with that particular system since it didn’t seem to catch on right away.

We were just getting to the other side of the gun exhibit when we were invaded by a middle school. Yikes. Peaceful calm erupted in chaos. Some of the more mature students tried to quiet the others by 'shushing’ them but it really didn’t work. We went through the second half much faster than the first ...
Chickamauga, Georgia, United States psubrat93... onto another gravel road to a waterfall. We parked the bikes and hiked 1.8 miles to the waterfall. Again, spectacular views. Uphill hiking in and we encountered a few downed trees. Easy coming out.

The hike took some time so when we got back on 136 North and headed on to Chickamauga we didn't stay too long. We will definitely will go back.
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Tennessee, United States mrpatrickJamie, Zach, and I can now say that we have done what all the barns and bird houses across the southeast has been requesting people to do: See Rock City. Rock City is a Labrinth of rock formations on the highest peak in Tennessee. From one spot we could Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee. Zach enjoyed looking at the rocks that loomed overhead and the massive waterfall.
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States hillaryjosephI've spent a lot of time in Chattanooga lately (mostly laying the groundwork for a gallery exhibit and getting permission to photograph some of the buildings downtown). My persistence has finally paid off. Yesterday, I was introduced to Jack Kruesi, the current owner, and former member, of the old YMCA on Mitchell Street on Chattanooga's Southside. What a great guy! He even took me over to Zarzour's Cafe for a burger (that's a ...
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States holtwebb... the social event of the decade. You see, my friend has lived in the same house his whole life, attended the same church with a membership of about 35-40 people (where he has played the organ for the last 20 years), and until now, at age 50, has never been married. Yet on a sunny day this past Saturday, he finally tied the knot. A huge tent was set up outside said small church, and the place was packed to the brim with about 200-250 people. Parking spilled over into the ...
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States danielwolfe... used to sing to me floated into my consciouness. "In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, you'll be the grandest lady, in the Easter Parade..." This tickled me. "On the Avenue, Fifth Avenue..." Next thing I knew I was in the car headed for the mall, parking at the back door of our Sears store, inside, BUYING A HAT! I haven't worn a hat since well before women burned their bras, back in the 60's. I didn't burn my bras back then, but I did stop wearing hats, and ...
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States burtonllGo with me? The destination is downtown and we're looking for art. Outdoor art we can view in jacket and jeans. Unusual art we can walk around, sit on, or touch. Durable art, that will last for generations, or already has. Did you realize the red-and-blue Fireman Fountain near the courthouse was dedicated June 9, 1888? The graceful cast-iron Fischer-Evans Clock on Market Street has been telling us the time since 1883. But imagine the staying power of ...
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States burtonll... or visits. It's easy to stop at Sunset Rock and gaze out over the Central Basin, enjoying a 50-mile view. It's awesome to hike to Virgin Falls in Scott Gulf, an 8-mile trek to see a stream emerge from a cave, plunge 110 feet, and disappear again in a cave at the bottom. It's calming to walk the lush woodlands and sit beside the cascading Falling Water River in Burgess Falls Natural Area. Did somebody mention fishing? It's no secret that The ...
