After driving up from Lake City, we spent a great weekend with Jamie and Kristen. They made a turkey dinner for us with all the trimmings and we relaxed at their house on Saturday. On Sunday we drove out to the Chickamauga Battlefield National Park, watched a video and toured the park. On my way to Fort Oglethorpe, I passed a sign directing motorists to visit Cloudland Canyon State Park. I'd never heard of this park, but on further investigation I found it was quite a popular place and seemed like a really neat place to visit, do some hiking, and test out my camping gear. I was very glad I did!

... Trail, a 6.2 mile lightly used loop. It was early obvious that this trail hadn't been used in awhile as it could have been called the Spider Man trail. I'm sure I walked through hundreds of spider webs as I trekked on a trail that got very narrow at times with lots of undergrowth.
