... to Blakeney – again me and John have been there before, but mum and dad haven’t, we look round the book sale and then a small craft fair before taking a stroll along the harbour.

Last stop for dinner before going back was in Wells-next-the-sea where we go into Whin Hill Cider shop. Mum, dad and John taste some ciders and ma and pa purchase a couple of bottles. Fish and chips for dinner tonight – yum!
Wells next the Sea, England, United Kingdom travelmonster... can see seals in the sea here, but today there are none. I remember when we came here a couple of years back, there were thousands of starfish that had been washed up and stranded on the beach. A small child was fraught with worry and expending all her energy running round every inch of the beach trying to rescue all the starfish and put them back into the sea – all to the voice of her parents telling her that she wouldn’t be able to save them all. I wonder if ...
Titchwell, England, United Kingdom travelmonster... old voice sang along like she was Ella Fitzgerald. As we looked around it was apparent that at 41 we were actually the youngest people in the audience, except for those kids forced to go along but their gummy grandparents.
172 words into the show and Ken along with the only four people in the audience enjoying it (who happened to be sitting front and back of us) was getting on my nerves waving his stick under his legs and bumbling through his act like a ...
Skegness, England, United Kingdom j3ster... for Fantasy Island so that was the kids sorted

I managed a relaxing day when the girls (including Granny ) went shopping and I went fishing on the morning tide. Wrong time of the year really so all I ended up with was a couple of Weaver fish on the daytime tide
Skegness, England, United Kingdom madcaravannerThe basic criteria for a blog entry from my angle will be loosely dubbed an escape route from home, which involves at least an overnight stay in some shape or form, thus allowing a 2-night camping trip to a British seaside town to nestle alongside higher-budget and further-flung trips. With my trusty piece of canvas barely having been put to any use beforehand, pitching a tent at a campsite at the town of Burgh-Le-Marsh, on the ...
Skegness, England, United Kingdom jollyjetsetterLast night I fell asleep quickly due to the exhaustion of the day, but this morning my mind began to recount the previous day's events and panic began to set in as I thought about all the logistics like what if the tow truck guys didn’t get the bike up here in time, what if they won’t take the bike at the airport, the bikes and paperwork are in Connie’s name and what if they don’t accept my signature for the documents, how ...
King's Lynn, England, United Kingdom kochwebb... can get anything to eat, providing its deep fried with chips. Lucky my cousin saved us from cholesterol overload by providing us with delicious meals. I visited my old home and was shown the actual room I was born in.

We then caught the train to York where we are staying for the next four days. "ee, ain't it grand"
Skegness, England, United Kingdom neverold... they all… So load-in, and then looking for fooood… Our rescue was the same restaurant chain we had trusted in so many other places, Weatherspoon: Ok food and most of all, free wi-fi connection. After our uninamous meal I decided that now I have to sit down and try to make some photos and write things and thoughts down… so I took some time off to compute a bit. Some time of that went also into chatting with friends via FB… in Finnish ;D

Had no stress, had a ...
Boston, England, United Kingdom phoinix... t even stop to take a picture! We kept driving up towards Hunstanton and watched the windsurfers & surfers from the cliffs in the awful weather. Drove back to see if we could find a camp ground….the first one wanted £30per night, thought that was a bit steep! So kept driving on. Finally found a little camping ground near the sear in Snettisham which was much cheaper- £12per ...
Snettisham, England, United Kingdom nomads06... to dawn on me what I had let myself in for. Looking back on it now it is hard to imagine how I felt, mainly because I now know what I have encountered over the last year, but before I left I was stepping into the complete unknown... anything could happen!

Anyway, to try and counterbalance the feelings of anxiety I got really really drunk and ended up puking in my tent (which I was sharing with my unfortunate friend Rich).
