... is surprisingly small compared to those found in other temples
around Bangkok but my no means insignificant on an elaborate gold
raised platform it is a commanding scene to behold. And the air is full
of reverence of this little statue as Monks and Thai's pray and worship
at his base.
It would be easily possible to wander around the
elaborate halls and buildings all ...
... quite an outfit but you had to pay for the bathrooms and I didn’t have change, so it was the best in public maneuvering I could do. The pizza was delicious and we were surprised to find a night market had sprung up on the block between Pizza Hut and our hotel. We perused the stalls as we walked back and even picked up a few things. On the way Gabe must have been asked about a hundred times if he wanted to see the Ping Pong show. I, being a respectable girl, had no idea ...
Bangkok, Thailand claraz8... girls left the stage, to be replaced by another shift. Some girls went over to other guys sat down in the bar, and it soon became apparent what the deal was. Ugly, fat, or both Westerners were grabbing enthusiastically at these pretty girls who invariably looked utterly bored. Soon, the girl in question would lead the said facially-challenged customer through a door and upstairs. A quite attractive girl came over to me and started talking to me. After some preliminary chat she ...

... departure gates to find the Air India checking in desk… Past queues of depressed people going home, past watches being checked and children sitting on baggage trolleys… I on the other hand seemed to b the only person in the building that was flying home with Air India so I was first and only in the queue when I got there. This is because I am flying via Mumbai for a stop over that saved me £100 at the time…. £100 I now wished I had spent….

... in Vietnam was in order.
We last left our couple in a city of crazy drivers, questionable odors, temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, and aggressive hawkers of snake wine and chicken feet. Hanoi's environment which we determined was "organized chaos" had us calling out for SERENITY NOW! We found The Kangaroo Cafe, a local tour agency, and booked a two day/one night trip to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trip was beyond our grandest expectations ...
... very soon. So annoyed. You know when that happens and you just cannot bring yourself to write the whole thing again until an arbitrary amount of time passes and the annoyance has dropped? That's what I'm going to have to do. Will message later or tomorrow morning.

... only admire the ingenious way Buddha is depicted: gilded, gigantic, minuscule, masculine, feminine; from bronze to gold. In China it's the same: vermilion tiered temples of thick stone, some like wedding cakes, with corrugated tubular sloping roofs decorated with ostentatious metallic framed blue notices and coloured paintings, archways, frontispieces, not only celebrating Buddha, but other religious and philosophic figureheads ...
Bangkok, Thailand supremacy... likely be continued back home in NZ when she heads there for Christmas.
thankfully for me Andrea was happy to join KA and I for dinner in
Brunswick St, as I may not have fared terribly well on the tram system
without guidance, and KA might still be looking for me now. Sadly $4
pizzas at Bimbos (http://www.bimbodeluxe.com.au) never eventuated as apparently half of Melbourne had a hankering for them too, but the organic tofu ...
