Superb hotel right on the riverside with easy access to the tourist sights via the great water taxi system. Very helpful staff and the buffet breakfast was great.

Excellent service with a great room

Excellent hotel with very large rooms which are more like apartments than hotel rooms. After traveling in Europe these rooms are like palaces. The room was also well equipped with all of the necessary mod cons that you would expect in a good hotel. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel is also well located right alongside the river and they operate a water taxi, which is free of charge, which you can take to get to the central part of the city. Highly recommended.

As a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children - of which our eldest at 12 is classed as an adult) we can not recommend the Chatrium enough. They have been brilliant from the start. We arrived an hour later than we said we would because our pre-booked one-way transfer with didn't meet us at the airport (it was pre-booked and paid for). When we did arrive the hotel were very pleased to see us and the day manager came out to welcome us. The hotel is in a fabulous location, right on the river front which creates a much needed breeze in the heat of the day (and night). The hotel is spotless and very relaxing. Huge comfy chairs and sofas everywhere, and always plenty of people (staff) around to ask for help and advice. The pool is gorgeous and a welcome sight after a hot day sight-seeing, and in much demand by our children - bribed with a swim at the end of a day of temples and monuments. We had a 2-bed suite which had a huge lounge area and small but adequate kitchen with fridge etc. With 2 bathrooms it was much easier and quicker to all get ready (and needed with a fussy 12-yr old girl too). We used the free shuttle boat to Sathan Taksin pier a lot, where you can take the Skystrain (BTS) or other boats up and down river. Its only 4 stops from Siam Square - which we left in a hurry - the back-streets of our local area and the back-streets around the Golden Monument, Grand Palace and Tha Tien are much more interesting and cheaper places to eat and drink - you must try the street food stalls

I'm a big fan of Serviced Apartments, especially when your traveling with kids. So I booked the 2 bedroom apartment for our stay. I couldn't fault anything. The apartment was a good size particularly the master bedroom. The swimming pool was awesome, and their resturant devine. We had the buffet dinner on our 2nd and last night, and wanted to eat everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. They provide a complimentary boat to take you to the nearest river boat taxi stop, which is only 10 mins away. All in all, I can thoroughly recommend the Chatrium and my family and I all wished we had stayed longer.

Well, those who have been in Bangkok will know what I mean when I say you cannot fully describe the experience of being in the city.
Luke (Iain's son) picked me up at the airport and we drove to my Hotel – Chatrium which I would thoroughly recommend.

Once I was checked in, Luke and I walked to Asiatique which is a new shopping …

We get an early start by heading to the Wat Traimit or the "Temple of Three Friends". Where else would the three amigos go? Then on to the grand Palace, which contained auspicious and minute details for us to explore. The heat slowed us down a bit, but what a grand complex of buildings, which included the "Emerald" Buddha (actually a jade Buddha …

Made it to our hotel by 1 o'clock and we are impressed with location, quality and view. Off for an afternoon boat tour of the river and canals, with a stop at the Dawn Temple. It's in the mid nineties at least. Back late afternoon for some iced Starbucks drinks and then a quick dip in the hotel's strategically placed pool. Later we head out for a …
