Day 45

It is hot! Today we spent visiting Lyon's Unesco-listed old town. We took the funicular up to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere and walked down through the gardens and narrow stairways. Following lunch, we visited the Musee de la Resistance and then walked home by the river. In hindsight, we should have done the last bit on the bike. But we did not.

... quality food made me a very happy girl :) Thursday We visited the Musee Miniatures and Cinema. Another amazing building, this one with 8 floors of the original scenery & props from the movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer." The detail of the sets is incredible. These life size displays covered the first 2 floors, the next 4 contained props, latex face prosthesis and showed us some of the animated actually used in many many movies, whereas the top 2 floors ...

So, this morning we had a nice breakfast...some fruit and yogurt instead of ONLY bread and jams so a nice change with the new host. We started our morning by going through the markets...from about 10am until 1 o'clock. On each side of the river Saone were open air markets...arts on one side and food on the other.
