Today I witnessed a wonderful act of human kindness. As I was waiting for a bus in Lyon a little old man came walking up. In one hand, a cane and a plastic bag of cheese, meat, and a few other small items. In the other hand, a plastic bag so full of baguettes that he could barely keep it closed. An older couple were also waiting for the bus and the old man asked if they could help him by tying the bag of baguettes closed so it would be easier for him to carry. The man, a ...
