... potato for main and tiramisu for dessert. We were going to have snails but nobody else at the table was interested and they only came on a plate of 20 and I doubt we were going to eat a whole plate. Jordan had a goats cheese salad that he was not too fond of so switched with a guy who got the chicken gizzard salad and he loved it. He then had a chicken with a very nice cheesy sauce and then crime caramel for dessert. It was all stunning and delicious food. ...

... today, he seems pretty cool and speaks clearly so I think it will be a productive semester. I got to choose to "Option" courses for my level so I chose Theater (because I'll have to speak and I like moving) and "Mode" or Fashion because I like sewing and thought it would be interesting. I also signed up for a guided 4 day trip to the South of France during our 2 week long spring break:) We also rode the ferris wheel today

After heading back to Pont de Vaux we headed north. Big thunderstorms everyday and the river was starting to rise to quite high levels. Spent the night in Tournus, lovely town to explore. Old churches, art galleries, good food. Continued up river to Gigny and spent another night there. Not much to see there, small lock. Continued north to Chalon sur-Soan and spent 5 days there. ... Loire valley this week, the girls finished up some homework, and we had dinner – Estelle made Abby’s favourites - a Lyonnaise cannelloni-like dish with tomato sauce, and mousse cups for dessert. It was neat that they had made a meal just for Abby - it showed how well they knew her from when she stayed with them last year. Tomorrow we’re on our own in Lyon since Marc has to head back to Paris for work and Estelle will be at work as well.

... tram a lot, I can walk mostly everywhere. It's great!!!! My walk to school is 5 minutes, since my house is right by the bridge and part of the campus is right at the end of the bridge. I'm also a less than 5 minute walk from the Place Bellecour, which is an open public area complete with crucial old french king statue smack in the center.
