    ... found the pretty village of Courville-sur-Eure & stopped for a 2 course €11 lunch, Peter got a surprise as his salad fruit de mer looked like uncooked prawns as they were transparent - I asked the waiter if they were cooked & he said no they were marinated (guess that's raw then!). Cycled on through the harvested fields which are obviously weeks ahead of UK as they are already planted. Now VERY hot to Brou & as we didn't know what ...

    Early start this morning to try finish early to give the old body a chance to recover! Left this morning at 7am and arrived Mamers just after 2pm which is respectable I suppose. Stopped to take photos, fed a horse and had lunch along the way, but it was a good 83 miles with decent roads.

    Oh my good cowering lord I'm going to take some convincing that this isn't actually 'the life'.(apart from one essential ingredient of course and she knows who she is).....after another 50+ miles today (I'll get to that later) I've just sat and consumed a whole baguette..some locally sourced (Fromager) soft cheese( one of 4000 apparently according to Mr Bradford's research)...tomatoes and raw garlic (remember that Beth and Rae?) washed down with Cidre de Normandie (Brut obv). ...

    So I went on a christian weekend away to L'aigle! Two of my housemates came too and the girlfriend of one housemate. I felt pretty like out of the loop with this weekend away at first and it took me a while to get talking to people but it was ok in the end!
