... the way the tolls from San Sebastian to Blaye came to about €12.00 in 4 pieces. You get very good at having the card ready as you approach the barrier.

It was €6.55 to park for the night which is barrier controlled and toilets are on site too.

Fortuitously there is a small restaurant adjacent and a humble pizza and few beers at 21:00 before he closed was a worthy reward after a lot of driving.

We got on a fast train this morning and took off in a southerly direction to a place called Cerons It only took about 15 minutes but doing around 240km an hour that's about 40 - 50 kilometres (Counting a few stops on the way).

This is wine country, and if the vineyards that could be seen out to the horizon didn't give it away, the fact that every second shop in Saint Emilion was a wine merchant did.
