A lazy day planned around the Gite, Anne went for a run in the morning. I finished reading the book I borrowed from the Gite (so it can be returned before we leave) and I spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about how I'm going to get all the wine we've bought in the car! Amazingly it all fits and there is still space for our luggage! Last night in the Gite and a lovely meal to celebrate a great week away. Even ended the night playing ...

Today we went to Bordeaux and what a lovely place it is. We parked on the outskirts and caught the tram in, then walked around a few of the monuments for a few hours, with a lunch break of course. Climbed to the top of the tower (260 steps) where the views of the city were good. Walked down the side of the river and through a couple of parks before heading back towards the tram and back to the Gite. A long day, but we'll definitely go back there ...

... into a small forest, where eventually I came on the ruins of a house, and what looked like it used to be the driveway that I could get my bike up. While this spot was visible from the access road for cars approaching from one direction, I hadn't seen any other cars on the access road at all, so it looked like that might not be a problem.
