    ... bed, incredibly comfortable and beautifully appointed. The bathroom with a lovely big tub for soaking and a separate dressing room. Beautiful decor.

    We are all very tired from our long trip today and i quickly throw a salad together and cook some fresh fish in garlic butter and lemon. The bottle of peach wine i put into the fridge to cool falls out of the fridge door as i open it and smashes into hundreds of pieces. So we can strike that from our dinner menu. ...

    ... This castle would have been pretty impressive in its day, with massive high towers, thick walls and a deep moat. It even had its own orchards and vineyards inside the walls. The castle was built on an ancient Roman site and is also home to the Apocalypse Tapestry which was commissioned in 1375 and depicts the entire book of Revelation in a series of panels.     ... salad baguette, and a nectarine for dessert. All washed down with some red wine produced with in the local area. Lunch was accompanied by the beautiful song of a number of Red Goats, actually called Red Throats. They are a type of bird, however, François mixed up the word goat and throat when translating their name for us. We saw many more Red Goats throughout the day, and some Orange Goats too.
