    Day 4 Nantes

A travel blog entry by simonsueroute66 on Aug 31, 2015

Day 4.  Only done 280 miles.  Lol.  At this rate we'll only reach Bordeaux by the end of our hols.  Best get our foot down.  Trouble is.. We're so laid back and every where is so nice.    14.40 hrs arrived at our hotel in the city of Nantes. What a rush everything feels after being in the countryside. Parked car, Dropped bags off....lets go explore. Not our favourite city. Best ...

We successfully breakfasted, dressed and loaded 5 children into two cars by 9.15am today which was an all time record- not to mention, we also packed shoes, vomit bags and hats, ready for our adventure at the island of Nantes, an awesome artists workshop that produces 'Tim Burtonesque' creatures, some of which are interactive and even ridable! We pass a group of late night early morning partyers who must acknowledge my speaker and toast the beginning of our trip with the beer they seemed to start the ...

... was buzzing with activity, even on a Saturday night. Went to a club last night but the clan and I were disappointed with the techno/ lack of American music so we left pretty quickly. Today we dedicated to the works of Antonio Goudi. We went and saw two of his famous works, not sure what they were called, then spent several hours going through his unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia. This church is by far the coolest building I have ever seen. I purchased ...

0750: Got up early this morning because I am the Fines Meister, which is a very important job, and I have told everybody to be in the foyer by 8am sharp ready for breakfast and departure.

0810: Bugger late. No-one in the foyer. Found them in the Sporting Cafe having breeakfast and giggling. I'l show them, we're leaving at 0830 sharp or there will be ...
