An older French man came driving down our mountainous goat track in a belingo van and asked us (in French) were we walking the camino..of course we replied ...yes and in full blown French we suspect he said" you are going the wrong way" with that we gave him our map and said well just where ...

We arrived in Le Puy yesterday afternoon after two trains and a bus journey...Helen was waiting for us to lead us to our hotel Bristol. She had actually arrived on Saturday and was still waiting for her bag which had been lost on the flight from Rome to Lyon via Barcelona ... So I guess that says it all. After a more than frightening experience in the office of the camino where a lunatic pulled a switch blade and appeared to want to kill us all we made a hasty and ...
