... the reef, we abandoned our attempt figuring we had our sea legs about us and could deal with one more night of roll, after all, we’ll be spending the next year on terra firma.
With sundowner in hand, we bid adieu to our final sunset on Monkey Puzzle.

... crossing back to the northwest coast of Mahe’ Island. We motored the 10M to Anse Lazio and snuggle up to the beach on the north side of the bay ready for another fantastic sunset as the skies cleared.
We have a bit of work before eating tonight as the octopus we got from Miles needs to be cleaned. As Marcello and I are in the cockpit cleaning the ...

As you might have guessed, nothing was going to keep Marcello from cooking our red snapper that day. The only question was how. HE consider the grill but felt it was too small ...
... sailing in rather than spend another suffocating night in the anchorage. In hindsight, it might have been wiser to remain protected in Baie St. Anne as I had gotten lazy and was no longer checking the local weather forecast. But, not knowing what was coming, we left again for a lovely “faralla” sail to Anse Petit Cour with 9-12k tradewinds at our stern.

We settled in for a lazy evening on the boat, well protected, but, a bit stuffy at the base of Baie St. Anne.

Today will be an interesting day for me as I have a "fear" of birds. Yep, it started with Alfred Hitcocks “The Birds” was enhanced by pigeon attacks while riding my bike growing up in Brooklyn and crow attacks while running after class in northern California. I plan to conquer that fear on the bird sanctuary of Ill Cousine.

After dropping anchor in about 5m of water, we went ashore and discovered a feet-in-the-sand restaurant on the north end of the beach and decided it was a must stop for lunch. A bit pricey, but, well worth the Octopus curry we tried. On the other hand the fish and mussel plates we ordered were a bit ordinary.

... We chilled, chatted and smoked weed. Actually I have made quite a few friends like that. Many ppl see me around the streets, and come up and chat and offer me to smoke weed, since they see that I am rasta. It makes it very easy for me to make friends, when ppl are so generous and friendly. Sometimes men just want a chance to chat with me, so they offer to share a smoke. Overall, the men and women are good natured. I have ventured around ...
Seychelles, Seychelles Islands snusan... closer to La Digue, we were starting to see what it was all about. The island was higher than we were expecting, with layered green trees all the way to the granite boulder skyline, and white beaches with granite boulder headlands. The lighthouse, just off the port, was located on a group of sculptured granite rocks, surrounded by turquoise water. Not bad. The guidebook says La Digue is easily the least developed of the main islands ...
