A couple months back when I was starting to plan this trip a good friend of mine told me that she has a friend living in Montreal. As I still needed tips for my trip etc, I decided to text her and see what she says. And that's how I got to know Marianne. Annette points out that this is the 20th anniversary of our first Grand Prix weekend together. A lot has happened since 1995! We always enjoy Montreal's vibe, there is so much to see, do and eat here. We especially love le Vieux Port on Saturday night,and catching up with the Montreal based Dunnes and O'Briens as well, which we did last night at one of the many micro breweries in town. Lots of fun!

Jean buzzed Andrew up and he answered the door in his pj’s and slippers. I waited with the car as we still had no idea
where on this busy street with it’s multiple signs in French, we could park the
car. Both Jean and Andrew re appeared
and they set off to park. I took our
overnight bags and valuables up four flights of stairs to the ‘condo’. ...
... pretty amazing experiences once again.
It was slow to take off and it was a while before we saw our first animals but here is what we ended up seeing: Deer, piglets, ground hog, arctic fox, caribou, bison in the rain, chipmunk, moose, arctic wolves, coyotes, bears (evem with one swimming!), a wild fox, amd more bears and cubs!

... said it would be ok if I removed the weight from the bag, so I took out a couple of pairs of shoes and put them in a plastic bag. When my bag was reweighed it was 0.3 under. Phew. The whole system is rediculous because as soon as I went through the gate I just put the shoes back in the bag. And it's not like my bag was being lifted by anyone but myself.
