Going from Toronto to Montreal is actually quite interesting, as crossing the provincial border between Ontario and Quebec is like crossing into another country. While in Ontario, people speak English and all the signage and writing is in English, in Quebec, everything is French. It just adds a little extra challenge in getting around, but it's actually quite fun :).

... Montreal, musicians play in squares and on subway platforms. The city has a terrific subway / Metro system. I believe that there is only one Pharmacy store name in Canada. ... break for lunch. The cafe was rather expensive and too meat heavy for my taste, so I walked around the corner back to Rue Sainte-Catherine and popped into one of the many cafes. Lunch still set me back about $35, but it was worth it as I ordered some escargot, being as I was already in a French royal mood. I was not disappointed. We arrived in Montreal to an afternoon shower so we took a cab to the apartment plus we had no idea where we were going in the city so we didn’t feel like navigating the Metro subway system with all of our bags.
