... was sad that we were leaving.

Going from Toronto to Montreal is actually quite interesting, as crossing the provincial border between Ontario and Quebec is like crossing into another country. While in Ontario, people speak English and all the signage and writing is in English, in Quebec, everything is French. It just adds a little extra challenge in getting around, but it's actually quite fun :).

Getting to the hotel required us to take the subway, which is ...

A few months ago, the conservative government of Canada tried to raise the cost of college ...

... break for lunch. The cafe was rather expensive and too meat heavy for my taste, so I walked around the corner back to Rue Sainte-Catherine and popped into one of the many cafes. Lunch still set me back about $35, but it was worth it as I ordered some escargot, being as I was already in a French royal mood. I was not disappointed. Drenched in butter, white wine and garlic, these little critters were some of the best tasting shellfish I've had in a long time. Mmmm I can ...

... 20 mins and then we boarded first so got great seats all together facing each other.

We arrived in Montreal to an afternoon shower so we took a cab to the apartment plus we had no idea where we were going in the city so we didn’t feel like navigating the Metro subway system with all of our bags. The cab driver actually gave us quite a lot of good information about the city and upcoming events and where to go for smoked meats (Schwartz deli apparently owned ...
