    ... owner who was very keen to speak with us and let us taste his wine. The Reds we found to very light and fruity while the whites were mostly Colombard, Sauvignon or C******nay and quite drinkable. The Rose was not popular.     ... table set, entree was served. Guess what? Prawns and oysters again!! We were supposed to have a main course but we weren't hungry so we will have that tomorrow night and have a second Mothers Day dinner!     ... stairs in the last few days through the many castles/forts we had visited. Then onto the most northern tip of the island to see Fort Boyard. Bit disappointed here. Thought it would have been closer to the shore. Guess you need to take a boat ride out to it to appreciate its size.     ... pleasant walking around, but to be honest, I didn't think it was any prettier than any other villages we have visited on this trip. After a crepe lunch we finally got on to some wine, pineau & cognac tasting. The Poitau-Chartenese region is famous for its pinaeu & cognac products.
