... here was the parking, which was €1.00 for 4 hours. Dune du Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe, and overlooks both hinterland and the sea. We just sat at the top of the dune for a while and took it all in. Again, another place to bring the parents, maybe with a picnic and some nice Bordeaux wine! Being our first Christmas away from home, it was a bit strange. On Christmas Eve, we were invited around to one of the players houses for a feast and a few drinks. ... great but the service spectacularly terrible, a comment echoed by quite a few other diners on Trip Advisor.

The Musee des Beaux-Arts was very disappointing, such a contrast to the facade which looks very grand. Seriously in need of some professional museum practice! We think our time would have better spent seeing the Grand-Theatre but that will have to wait for some other time.

We dropped our lease Peugeot off with just under 3,500 ...
