... stop at a Tabac with plastic cups (see photo) and then early lunch stop to dry tents before the rains came in again. In the event we keep dry and a bit sunny through this afternoon. This evening we are back to wild camping but we're not sure when Pat's going in for a swim. We'll go to sleep with the sound of the sea. Tomorrow it's over the ferry and northward from Royan. ... drive to Bordeaux. The majority of wine produced here is red ( thought of the GSE team) and we passed some vineyards. Also saw corn and maize fields and lots of wind farms. It wasn't a cold night! A damp morning meant that it was fairly warm. The tap at the aire did not fit any of my connectors, so it was the aquaroll. We planned to get to Preignac. When we arrived, the aire was bollarded off and the water had been shut off. Presumably only open until end of September. So we went further along the Garonne to Cadillac. Small aire intended for 8 vans. Of course the French snuck more in, by parking ...

... wasn't long before arriving in Bordeaux. It was a lovely city set on the side of a large river system. Our two new friends dropped us to the door of our accommodation for the night and we said our final good byes. We met our host, Brice, who arrived just after us, He let us into the little one bedroom, ground floor flat which was right in the heart of the city. Brice was still in the throws of moving in from the previous weekend but he made us feel very ...
