And to think yesterday my biggest worry was not seeing anything interesting at all in Cyprus. What I saw today absolutely blew me away and had everything I look for in my travels...it was gritty, raw, real and not sanitized for the tourists. To date this is the most fascinating stop on my world tour. I didn't find any natural beauty or spectacular ruins but what I did find is a pretty amazing human interest story. ... is certainly a great place to vacation in the early fall. Late October and early November was still quite warm to our standards, but the tourist season was over for Eurpeans so it was a good place to vacation as it was moderately priced.

... massive sombrero for photos. There were more photos later when the sun had set as the ruins of the abbey got lit up with orange lights which is stunning. Everyone was having a ball, or seemed to anyway. The place looked magical and I was just thrilled as thrilled could be!! The band finished around 11pm and then everyone started to go home which was perfect timing because David and I were shattered anyway. Relaxing week, enjoying my 2 hour walks in the afternoon, not knowing that a week later the whole area where we live in Greece would catch fire, and our house would have 13.000 euro damage!

... eıther sıde of the pennınsula. We decıded to sleep ın the castle but fırst headed ınto the small town wıth a restaurant 3k below for some dınner. WHen we got there they were closed but the owner offered to feed us what he was fıxıng for hıs famıly. We had great kababs and wıne. I slept wonderfully ın the castle had really ıntense dreams. ps ı am havıng trouble loggıng ınto my excıte account so can not respond to any emaıls at thıs tıme.
