... Finally we took a boat ride on the Seine river to see why Paris is called the city of lights! I am always sad to see my trips come to an end but I will treasure the memories of seeing France for the first time again through their eyes. Even though I know the students will be so glad to be home, I know they too will miss this place and this experience that we shared together. They should all be very proud of themselves as I am proud of them! It truly was a "Bon voyage"! ...

I walked up to a viewing place in the peche (hill) to overlook the pretty village and monastery at Brezé, it was so peaceful and lovely.

I am starting to settle into this routine now and can just appreciate the quiet and stillness and just sit and be for a while, watching and listening to nature. Then a walk around the village, a drink on a pavement café in the square, rather strangely there were 4 Harley ...

in France I did not see anybody drunk or any loutish behaviour, even though
this event was held in the middle of town on a Saturday afternoon, open to all and only
4€ everybody was having fun and being very convivial. Such a pity I could not
join in,if I could have stayed in Chinon for the night I would have, but I had
tickets for a show back in Saumer.
