... 1 night in Noyers, 2 hours drive then we have 3 nights in Reims (Champagne area). It was pretty good but the rain meant day 1's drive was more like 5 hours....but the hotel in La Mure was fab. Only 2 or 3 stars (depending what you read) but good internet, comfy bed and sensational shower. I should have also told all my readers that we have had an unforeseen technical hitch...my beloved Nikon S9500 has failed. When ...

We woke early had breakfast and headed to our rendezvous site to find out that the bus had problems ...

Our last full day in Alpe d'Huez is another belter. Awoke at 7am to see the sun streaming in through the window. Not a hint of a cloud anywhere....just the way I like it, home or away.

I was planning to get a reasonably lengthy ride in today, +100kms and then put the bike away until the Etape du Tour on Sunday. Us old codgers need plenty of recovery time prior to the ...

... metres. As we climbed into the village we caught up to a family that was also on a tour. They had 3 months and we're riding with panniers and had two young boys aged 12 and 16. They had a dog follow them all the way up the climb Borg du Oisans We then wound our way around the back of the Village Notre Dame, then dropped down the descent back into Oisans. ...
