    ... did their shopping at the supermarche! You will have to ask them what they purchased there! After getting dressed up, we went to visit the Arc de Triomphe. We were lucky to see a special ceremony for the eternal flame under the arc. We then went to dinner on the Champs Élysées! The dinner included salad, canard with potatoes, and creme brûlée for dessert! Look up canard in English! I don't know if everyone cleaned their plate but they hopefully tried this ...

    ... Unfortunately upon arrival it started to rain and continued for most of the afternoon. Please note the grumpy group picture outside the castle gates! We did, however, visit the inside of the chateau with audio guides. After Versailles, we headed back into the city to see the beautiful Eiffel Tower! The students were so excited!     ... the French call "Love in a Cage," and a very long string of hardened caramel. Mine was at least a foot and a half long. And all this was on a hot chocolate sauce with a flat piece of sugary crispness. We all agreed it was the best part of the meal. We didn't get out of there till 10:00. And when we got back, I couldn't get my damned door open again! Thank God Barb came along after a few minutes.

    Off to more chateaux in the morning!
