    ... We didn't know but today the entrance is free. The chateau us built in a lovely pink sand stone, surrounded by high fortifications, each section as you walk deeper into the chateau is protected with drawbridges and port cullis, three in total. The outer buildings would have been workshops, stables and store rooms.
