We were lucky to find these or our hotel given we drove the wrong way from mammoth lakes for thirty minutes and had to do a daring u turn on a freeway. If only I had my compass. The street is tree lined and I am getting a great deal of pleasure walking around observing the very spanish ...

Since we had spare time due to the cable car being blown up, and the walk so far had been quite easy, we decided to carry on walking and see if we could make it to a nearby attraction called rainbow falls. We walked for an age through beautiful forest and along beside river. We are officially in bear country now and the scenery was exactly like you see ...

... When we got to the park, we drove up to Hetch Hetchy and looked at the dam. The dam supplies San Francisco with 20-30 percent of its water and its all gravity fed from about 150 miles away! We arrived at our campsite a little later and set up camp. There's about 80 campsites and everyone of them seems full. We set up, cooked dinner, and went to bed. I'm excited to start sleeping in the tent again, I just wish people would respect the quiet ...
