... an hour later than planned. It was hard saying goodbye not only to the teens, but to everyone at Restart. We really had a great time there and met some amazing people. We got to Chris's house a little early for dinner, so we hung out at a nearby elementary school playground to relax and enjoy the weather. Then we went to Chris's lovely house for a pizza dinner and good conversation. It was nice to review the week and also hear more about Chris and his life. We ...

... They have been to some pretty cool places. We ended the night with a little reflection and a casual introductory overview of the week. We went to sleep quickly after that; we were all pooped from the long day right after midterms week. Jack Stack BBQ

      Menu Item: Jack’s Best

Notes: Features one Crown Prime Beef Rib, Pork Baby Back Ribs, and Beef Burnt Ends with sides of Cheesy Corn Bake, Creamy Coleslaw, & Toast. Had a spicy sauce and a sweet sauce.

Comments: There’s no knife (or teeth for that matter) needed here! You could easily cut everything with a plastic fork if you had to. The prime beef rib was extremely tender. The entire strip fell off the bone when touched. As soon as ...

Menu Item: Ribs & Brisket Plate with Spicy Slaw

Notes: Today was one of the first days after they changed their name from Oklahoma Joe's to Joe's Kansas City

Comments: Best ribs I've ever eaten. They had a unique taste unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The dry rub on them was perfect. The meat just fell off the bone and was extremely tender. The tender, medium cut brisket had an initial smoky bite to it ...

      Kansas

... The other problem with Kansas is the people. I hate to generalize like this but for the sake of the story, I will go ahead and do just that. You would think that Kansas would be the easiest and safest driving of the whole trip. Well, you would be wrong. Every driver entering the highway seems to have been doing it for the first time. For whatever reason, on ramps present a big problem for the people of Kansas. They all seem to make to one of ...
