... jam and wondered what was going on. Later we found out that some days are just like that, particularly in August, the french holiday season.
This was a medieval city surrounded by a wall in its day. The wall has now gone, but the original area is traffic free. It is amazing, full of alleys, cobbled streets and all old buildings.
