... Nice time catching up with the 'Children' who are no longer, and a few laughs as well. Very hot, almost too hot to do anything. Time was spent playing petangue, badly if not with vigour, and chatting. We took the bike into Bordeaux for the day and changed on the roadside to street clothes. A day trip to the famous wine region of France, St Emilion, was definitely well worth the trip and we weren't disappointed. Getting the train there was easy, and the walk from the train station to the town is very deceptive, in that you never expect it to lead to such a beautiful place.
