... this part of the country are just plain nice and pretty hilarious to boot. The train station attendant was a lovely guy, who spoke so fast I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times so I could decipher the southern twang. When he said he needed to check my ID to check me in for the train he insisted it was because I might be Bin Laden in disguise. I suggested that OBL would have had to have a pretty dang impressive plastic surgeon to go from looking like him ...
Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States akeakekiakaha... was along the wall they had the personnel history of the families that occupied the house. Overall, I would recommend this museum for those with small children. There are a lot of hands-on items and interactive displays, which would be a good starting point to initiate interest in American history. As an adult, I found the museum lacking substance. If you are going to go to the museum, wait until all the displays are finished around Jan 2009.
Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States ndsquirrel... the destruction principle. In the Puranas, the end of a cycle of creation is mythologized by Nataraja (a name for Lord Shiva meaning "the King of Dance") doing his dance of destruction. Death of a flower-bud is the birth of a flower. Death of flower is the birth of its seed." More information on Nataraja who at the Amma program manifested through music and dance in a ...
Rockville, Maryland, United States laura_mathijs... stopped and two quite harsh policemen advised us that taking pictures is not allowed. After Pentagon we took US-50 westwards in search for a place to stay. We crossed to Virginia and stopped in Middleburg (pop. 600+), but it was a ghost town during that time of the day. We decided to hit the next bigger town which happened to be Winchester (pop. 25,000). We stopped at one motel just before the town and tried to get a room there. I went with Piotr to talk to ...
Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States lenarcik... to take you to the airport." What?! He had arranged for his friend to take me (and three students came along) but his mother had passed away that morning. I was in a bit of a rush (thankfully I had packed pretty much everything already) but made it downstairs on time. It was really raining, and on the hour-long drive to Busan it only got harder. I was tired, hungry, and sad. I did have three students to keep me awake though! We got to the airport and I saw such a heart ...
Grapeview, Washington, United States wanderhitch... later after 3 buses we are in Iguaçu. Whoopee!! Yesterday we saw the Falls from the Brazilian side and thought it was wonderful. Today we took a tour and saw them from the Argentinian side and think they were even more spectacular. The Devil´s Throat is certainly the most unbelievable natural force. Nice little group today, us, a young couple from Chile and a couple originally from Russia who now live in Boston. About to go and eat for tomorrow is another busy ...

I could tell he was nervous by his darting eyes and short, quick jesters. Mainly, he rents inner tubes to the tourists. "I think that there is a need for a more permanent embankment. I have had to create several new inner tube embankments because of the rains ...

Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States lara4ondaI must confess that I am a bit worried and scared about bringing my camera down to S.America with me. I love taking pictures and it's a passion of mine, but I would **** a brick if someone mugged me and took my camera. I would sooner lose my passport than my camera. On top of that, it looks like I will be getting my 70-200mm f/4 professional 'L' lens in time for me to consider bringing it down there with me. You see, if I don't use the ...
