... this, 2 days before we leave, its absolutely pouring with rain. We will be cycling to london, where rain is pretty much a given. All this in a tent. Like I said, this was a great idea in the summer. But it will be done. Bikes have been packed, return flights have been booked, and I refuse to be outdone by mom and dad in record km on ...

... 3rd October. Train travel is free with a special pass. I noticed Chris didn't give out the tickets until this morning.....just in case. St Moritz is at 1775 MASL and we are off to Alp Grum at 2091 metres and a 50 minute ride. That day, joining us in our cable car was a large group of senior men dressed ...

... taking a local bus to the Muottas Muragl funicular railway which took us up 700 meters (2100 ft) for an amazing view of the Bernina Peak, its massive Glacier and the neighbouring mountains. The area had many hiking trails but most were covered in snow so we were not able to venture far in our sneakers. We saw many slightly older couples going up the funicular in hiking boots and hiking poles but I did not see them on the trails ...

Hi everyone, we are in my favorite place outside of America :-)!!! Italy!!! We left Garmish, Germany this morning at 8:00 and took the Bernina Express through the Swiss and Italian alps to just across the Swiss border into Tirano, Italy. It was about a four hour train trip through what can I say but awe inspiring scenery! Just beautiful, regardless of which way you looked! I'm sorry to say that the ...
