... the Everglades & an ideal location to check out the west side of the Everglades but the hot humid weather sapped our energy & we choose a short walk in campground & another down day of reading!! Hey it's Christmas, we need a holiday from our holiday!!
We camped in National Preserve & then a State Park so had no services - even my iphone cell service was patchy. We are definitely slowing down, we went on a short walk but didn't get the bikes out, instead we stuck our noses in a good book & for the most part enjoyed the sun & peace & quiet!!
... then relaxed and sunbathed by the pool for a few hours. Took Stephen and Robin to the airport for their flight back to New York, was an emotional moment, got upset in front of them, couldn't help but have a wee cry, Albert he had tears in his eyes too. Was sad to see them go back especially Stephen. We came back to the villa for a wee drink then went to Naples Pier to see the sun go down, was a marvellous sight to see.
