We woke to the forecast rain on our tent Thursday morning. As we had an early flight to Aberdeen Friday morning, and to eliminate the risk of missing our flight through some unforeseen event-we decided it was safer to cycle to the airport Thursday afternoon and spend the night in the Comfort Lounge provided by Aberdeen airport for overnight travellers. It was a fortunate decision, because there were major road works being completed on the airport ...

We climbed over 1200m into the mountains (still snow covered) saw amazing scenery of the fjords and even passed alongside two glaciers. There are large lakes that still had icebergs floating in them! As we descended out of the mountains towards Oslo the views changed to be lush green forests. We now have a few days to explore the capital city of ...

... large group sitting outside the tent until about 10.30pm &
it was still daylight. But cold!

The fjord near the campsite wasn't as
spectacular as we'd hoped, but as we had little time to visit it, maybe that
    was just as well!

We had to leave the site at 7am to get
to the ferry port by 8.30am, so I set the alarm on my phone for 5.30am,
forgetting I had set the noise to a duck quacking. It made me jump out of ...
