We have been in Bergen, Norway for 3 days and we are leaving tomorrow to head further north east back towards the fjords. It was the Norwegian National day yesterday with everyone dressed up in their National costumes...but sadly it poured and poured with rain for the grand parade. Bands, floats and thousands of Norwegians, young and old marching ...

Arriving in Bergen, Junes grandma greeted us with champagne and strawberries, winning. We settled in for the evening and that was that. Wednesday was a rainy day, which is pretty usual as it rains approximately 250 days of the year here! We went to an aquarium, seeing a sea lion show and plenty of sea life. We walked around a bit, luckily with ...

... dates to the early 1700s (1708) but the floor and foundation had a couple hundred more years on that.

Let’s just say that there are no marbles for sale in Bryggen (or they’re all found in the same spot)!

With the travel and rain, we walked around town a bit, sampled the local beers, and visited some antique shops and galleries. Neat town and we’re looking forward to exploring before our long ferry ride back to Denmark in the ...
