... by a bus trip over the mountain, back to the city. Unfortunately the had been some problem in one of the tunnels in the city and the traffic was gridlocked. We were delayed 2 hours getting back to do the walking tour of the old city part of the trip. The old city is called Bryggen, it was a Hanseatic city - back from 1360 to 1754, so is party German. The old city was built of wood, some of these buildings are shops and artisans workshops. An interesting place.
