So after a lousy nights sleep I was up reasonably early. Which was a shame because my train didn't leave until 10.30. I had heaps of time to finish packing, have breakfast and check out. I had a leisurely breakfast, having a good ol' chat to my new found Californian friends. A couple (don't ask me their names) who were sitting at the table next to mine my first morning in Rome, and we seemed to catch up there every day. Like me they were ...

... identify-a-rhythm, tone-deaf recital of 'My heart will go on.' (Especially if you are competing against a girl who claimed tonight she made the top 50 in American Idol and now has a fan page dedicated to her. Which, by the way is awesome if you are reading this and I am thoroughly looking forward to your performance tonight!) -------- Since we last spoke I have survived three major assessments, booked a room with the girls in Milano for ...

Day 3

I just exploited Prato's main 'supermacarto' like it was Boxing Day sales and I needed to fetch the days best bargains before anyone else bought all the cheap carrots and fat free milk and emptied the shelves. Today I experienced my first full day of uni. I made some friends (yay) and quickly realised that the pace of the "intensive Italian class" was so ridiculously fast it was like a runaway train, one which unless you were fit enough to catch up to it, ...
