This has been a trip full of visiting cool places and seeing family, even those who live in California – Papa Larry and Grandma Jana have been visiting Bryce and Abby for the past week, and I joined them for many day trips out and about around Virginia. To start off with, we went around Culpeper and learned about the history of the town followed, of course, by a spot of shopping!
Shenandoah National Park is about an hour's drive away, so we went up ...
... that was very informative and suggested some other places we might want to visit. Most of them were wineries though and as Jerry doesn't drink and I drink only a little and moscato at that we probably won't visit many of them. She said moscato hadn't made it to Virginia yet!

That's definitely what I love about being out in the countryside is that you can just sit in the back of the ute!!! It was a fun day off ...

We also played some golf while we were there. I accidentally picked up a ladies' 9 iron instead of a men's 9 iron. While the course marshal (or 'Marshal' as I called him) was looking, I took about 6 divots out of the course before I realised the club was the wrong length. Marshal looked angry.
I learned two lessons on my last day at Ian's.
